FUNDRAISING POLICY REMINDER: All items sold by the band for fund raising are to be sold by the BAND PARENTS ONLY. This applies to the sale of candy, wa-wa vouchers, magnets, candles, Avon, Gertrude Hawk candy and any other item sold by the JMHS Band Parents Association. The students are NOT allowed to sell the items at any time - including in school. Door to door sales by students in their neighborhoods is also prohibited. This policy is contained in the Student Handbook and Planner distributed to all students at the beginning of the school year. Parents and students MUST abide by the policy on the Permission to Fund Raise form that was signed by the parents and submitted to JMBP and also by the Jackson school district fund raising policies. Violation of these policies and agreements will result in that band family not being able to participate in JMBP fund raisers. Payments: Remember that all fundraisers require payment by check payable to Jackson Memorial Band Parents or JMBP and remember that your student's name must be on the check for proper assessment credit. If your are collecting orders from family, friends, co-workers etc, have checks made payable to you and submit only one check with your final order. |
![]() Posted: August 1st, 2011 Dear Parents: Jackson Jaguar Marching Band is participating in a fundraising food program called Market Day. Market Day, the original fundraising food co-op, has been in operation since 1975 and has grown to include thousands of schools just like ours. Each month, as a participating Market Day school, restaurant-quality food products, from the same vendors that supply many upscale restaurants, will be available for purchase. Market Day products are competitively priced and our organization will earn profit on your purchases. Our goal this year is to earn money for our children’s assessment accounts as well as the General Fund in order to fund our trip to the Tournament of Roses Parade in 2013. We can earn this money without our students going door-to-door, without purchasing products we wouldn't ordinarily purchase, and with the knowledge that all products are of exceptional quality and covered by a Satisfaction Guarantee! The order sheet will be coming home once a month with your child. Please take a few minutes to review it and place an order. We are confident that this fundraising program will not only benefit our band and the programs we support, but will also benefit you as the consumer. You can find out more about Market Day and even place your order online at the Market Day Web Site. Register your e-mail address to receive reminders to order and special offers for online customers. Our Market Day account # is 19448. Please give Market Day a try! We look forward to seeing you at our Market Day sale on September 1st at Switlik Elementary School gym. THANKS!
